BAT BOX

Bat Box

Bats are essential for healthy ecosystems, with a single bat able to eat up to 3,000 insects in one night – including midges, moths, and other pests. In the UK, all 18 bat species are protected by law, yet they face serious declines due to habitat loss and the destruction of traditional roosting sites in old buildings and trees.

Our Bat Box provides a secure, weatherproof space where bats can roost, breed, and hibernate. Unlike bird boxes, bat boxes have a narrow entrance and rough interior walls to allow bats to cling easily.

Supporting bat populations not only aids biodiversity but also contributes to natural pest control, reducing the need for chemicals and helping to balance local ecosystems.
