At The Classic Brick Company, we are committed to building connections with our peers within the construction industry, providing opportunities for learning and development. Earlier this week, we had the pleasure of hosting an engaging Continuous Professional Development (CPD) session alongside Lifestiles. We welcomed staff from a range of practices, including staff from Donald Purkiss & Associates.
We use these sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the attendees and tailor our approach to cater to their sector and experience. In our presentation, we provided architects with a deeper understanding of our production processes and discussed what technical properties set our products apart in construction projects. Quality is of the utmost importance to us at Classic Brick, so we also explored the importance of Lucideon testing and of our BQC accreditation.
We launched our bat-friendly brick boxes following feedback gained from a previous CPD event, so we were excited to share our expanding range of eco-products at this week’s CPD session. Our new additions include sparrow terraces and bee bricks, which aim to promote biodiversity and support conservation efforts within the construction industry. By sharing these developments, we demonstrated the increasing importance of meeting the needs of an ever-evolving industry.
We followed our session with lunch, which was a great opportunity to build relationships and connect with each other in a relaxed environment. The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many highlighting the practical takeaways they had learned and the prospect of using our ranges in projects they have in the pipeline.
Steve Carvell, Commercial Director at Classic Brick, commented, “These CPD sessions are a fantastic way to create lasting professional relationships within the industry. We were delighted with the positive responses we received after the session and hope to collaborate with the teams again in the future."
