I have worked in construction for over 20 years, working for both brick manufacturers and builders merchants in a wide range of roles.
In that time, I have seen how important choosing the right brick can be for any project, large and small. For our customers this decision sets the tone for their whole project and when we set up Classic Brick we had this in mind. We want to help our customers make the right choice, whether you are the homeowner or developer or merchant who is promoting our products we are here to support you throughout the project.
I will be excited to share with our customers the new colours and products we are working on to continually increase our offering and range.
With 22 years in the industry, from where it all began at E H Smith, to moving to MKM as a masonry specialist. I have gained a great understanding and knowledge of how bricks are an integral part of any build, whether it be for a small extension, through to a new build.
With experience - comes knowledge. Here at Classic Brick, suppliers of genuine handmade bricks, that knowledge allows me to offer expert advice on our products - from brick matching to special shapes and everything in between.
I look forward to growing my knowledge alongside the growth of our brand in the future.
I joined The Classic Brick Company in December 2022, transitioning from a background in teaching and sports to embrace a new challenge. Working alongside a brilliant and supportive team and jumping in at the deep end I have already learnt so much. I am passionate about the industry and enjoy helping it through building strong relationships and supporting our customers’ needs delivering the best possible service and products.
Outside of work I enjoy sports - mainly watching now! I also help coach at Fleet Town under 18s in my spare time and run a very successful 6 a side team. I enjoy going to concerts and shows, from my partners favourites to my own. Nothing beats live music!.
Coming from a family which has run a construction business for three generations, I grew up in the industry. I completed my degree in Marketing and Management where I loved seeing trends before they took off. My research looked at the impact of CSR on consumer behaviour.
After my degree, I worked for almost a decade in both business development and marketing departments of listed construction, industrial and manufacturing companies, including FTSE 250 SIG plc where I grew marketing departments and, most importantly, revenues through customer loyalty programmes, unique and innovative marketing campaigns and building strong relationships with all parties.
I’m an experienced Specifications and Sales Account Manager with most of my working life spent in the construction sectors in Cape Town and here in the UK.
I ran my own Specifying and Marketing Agency in Cape Town for a number of years and secured various prestigious projects for my clients during that time.
In my previous roles, I’ve honed my abilities in effective communication, forging strategic partnerships and providing excellent customer service.
My focus and passion for ‘customer happiness’ and building strong professional relationships has been a beneficial asset throughout my career.
I love sporting and outdoor activities outside of work and can safely say I’m a master of none but will try anything for fun!
Originating from a retail background and entering the industry with no prior experience, I embarked on my journey in operations. Guided by our exceptional team, I gained valuable insights into the business and the overall market, spanning from the factory, warehouse to buildings across the UK. Being part of the entire process has been a rewarding experience. Now, transitioning into my new role, I aim to apply the skills I have amassed to provide the best possible service for our customers whilst also nurturing relationships with our suppliers and stakeholders.
As the business expands, I am eager to grow alongside it, leveraging my strengths and contributing to our continued success and I can’t wait to get started.
